APPLY TODAY!

Welcome to the 2023 Building Outstanding STEAM-H BOSS (Building Outstanding Science Students) Program at New Hope Full Gospel Baptist Church, located at 1901 Pennsylvania St. NE, Albuquerque, NM. We’re excited to have your student participate in this engaging and fun program. For your convenience, the BOSS Program will be held on Saturdays for 2nd through 8th graders. The first session will begin on Saturday, April 22, 2023, from 4:00–5:30 p.m.

The BOSS program is one of the many programs from the UNM Health Sciences Office for Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion. This academic-year-long program aims to stimulate student interest in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math, and Health (STEAM-H) professions, especially among underserved and underrepresented populations in New Mexico, and to increase awareness of the urgent need for diverse health professionals in our state. BOSS helps students realize their abilities, seize opportunities, increase knowledge, and enhance skills for success in STEAM-H fields.

You will have the option of in-person learning measures for your student. Some portions of this program will occur on a virtual platform.

In order for your student to participate in the program, you will need to complete the Student Participant and Parent Permission Form online. Please review and complete the following:

On page 1, be sure to put New Hope Church where it asks for participating site name and on page 2 for school name in the permission to participate section.
