Outreach / Missions

Local

For more than 30 years, New Hope has provided meals to homeless, unemployed, and underemployed individuals and families. For many years, we partnered with Miss Dolly’s kitchen and later we partnered with through Project Share, Albuquerque Rescue Mission, and HopeWorks. During the pandemic, New Hope partnered with WorldVision to provide approximately $3.5 million in groceries and $4.2 million in home goods and furniture. We continue to operate the WorldVision Gifts-in-Kind Project offering home goods and furniture to various underserved parts of the community.

National

We have provided relief aid to Texas during Hurricanes Harvey, Katrina helped to rebuild homes and churches including gut, clean, sanitize, and rebuild homes and churches in Louisiana in partnership with the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship. We also have distributed over $250,000 in cash services in the New Orleans area in conjunction with WorldVision, the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship, and Church One of Long Beach, CA.

International

New Hope partners with Ventaja Educational Services and Ventaja Panama to provide cross-cultural and global services. Two major international projects include work in Panama and Puerto Rico. Since Hurricane Maria in 2017, New Hope and Ventaja have forged a partnership with Pastor Masonet’s church in Puerto Rico to provide hurricane and earthquake relief aid. Dispensing food, clothing and essential items, a core group from New Hope traveled to Puerto Rico December of 2017 and February 2020. June 2017 was also the launch of Ventaja Panama and the implementation of a STEM and Literacy camp. Under the auspices of New Hope, we serve over 125 families in Panama City, Panama. As of 2019, we now have a second site in Colon City, Panama. This outreach provides opportunities for volunteers who are interested in cross-cultural work and ministry.

Several members of our church have served as sponsors, changing lives of children in poverty in impoverished throughCompassion International -. We invite new sponsors within our church and FGBCF on an annual basis. In partnership with Fellowship Baptist Church of Albuquerque , Interdenominational Ministers Fellowship of Albuquerque & Vicinity, and generous members of our ministry, we have built two homes in Africa.

The New Hope’s Heart of God Evangelism Ministry strives to educate and encourage all believers to be witnesses for God. We lead witnessing activities on an individual basis and participate in outreach events that are hosted by New Hope, other churches, or other organizations that will give us an opportunity to share the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and to win souls for the Kingdom!  The Heart of God Ministry engages in  fun, easy, and exciting ways to draw the unsaved and backsliding individuals to gain knowledge on how to obtain salvation. For this reason, we desire to be one of the largest ministries at New Hope! Every member of New Hope is already a part of this ministry, we just need more workers because the harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few!!!

The Restoration Prison Ministry is comprised of individuals who have a heart for God and a passion for those who have been alienated from society and their families through incarceration. Our mission is to restore what was lost through intercessory prayer, worship, teaching the word of God, mentorship, and outreach programs. We will infiltrate the jails and prisons to win souls for Christ and restore hope and spiritual freedom to those who have been incarcerated. We envision this ministry impacting all of New Mexico and beyond. We see the ministry providing resources, shelter, and support for those being released from prison in the future. If this sounds like the ministry for you, please come join us.

Greeters are a loving, caring Ministry. We are dedicated to showing the love of Christ. We welcome and appreciate all who visit New Hope Church

Our mission is to provide financial assistance to New Hope high school seniors to continue their educational goals and endeavors after they graduate. We lead church-wide efforts, raising funds to support our youth and their future educational goals. Additionally, we provide resources and/or guidance about other scholarship opportunities to help continue their future educational goals.

The New Hope Stewardship ministry educates participants concerning biblical financial principles, provides practical and implementable financial tools, and promotes financial freedom as a lifestyle. Through the use of the dFree curriculum by Dr. DeForest B. Soaries Jr., participants will learn how to eliminate debt, delinquency, and deficits, and establish deposits, dividends, and deeds. In rising above a culture that promotes living beyond one’s means, we invite you to come and learn about God’s blueprint for financial management and freedom.
